There is much to do and see at the Water Crest and in the
local area. On the property, there is an outdoor pool and
large heated whirlpool spa, two children's playground areas,
and ample picnic areas and gas grills for family fun.
Within the coastal town of Wells, there are seven miles of
fine, sandy beaches, as well as numerous amusements and
sites. The Water Crest is conveniently located within a
short driving distance of all the attractions the Maine
Seacoast has to offer. While the beaches of the area are the
main attraction, there is so much more to see and do.
The town of Wells itself, settled in 1640, is rich in its
colonial roots and is known as the Antiques Capital of
Maine. Don't miss the many antique shops, Antique Auto
Museum, and frequent area auctions. A trip to Wells would
not be complete without a visit to the Wells Reserve at
Laudholm Farm, which offers miles of well maintained trails
along salt marshes and estuaries. Young and old alike will
delight in catching a rare glimpse of local wildlife in its
natural habitat. |
