Dear
GSMA Member,
On behalf
of the Granite State Managers Executive Board and Education Committee, I
want to wish everyone a healthy and prosperous New Year!
To current
members, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your
continued support that enables us to continue our mission and offer
training to housing professionals in New Hampshire. If you are receiving
this letter for the first time, we look forward to your company joining
GSMA and participating in all we have to offer.
2008 was a
very successful year for GSMA. The educational opportunities we offered
included the following: March of 2008 VHMA and GSMA sponsored a Spectrum
Tax Credit Training and May of 2008 Fair Housing Training for
Maintenance staff with Debbie Piltch.
The
Tri-State conference was held in October at Lake Morey Inn in Fairlee,
Vermont. The conference offered a plethora of workshops for Managers,
Resident Service Coordinators and Maintenance staff. Entertainment
included a golf tournament, casino night and a DJ complete with a dance
instructor.
At the
conference, GSMA was able to sell unused inventory. I am pleased to
announce we were able to donate the proceeds of $2,000.00 to the New
Hampshire Food Bank.
We are all
looking forward to 2009. Mark the dates for the upcoming
trainings. Tax Credit Training by Spectrum on March 26, 2009. We are
offering this training at the same location due to the fact attendance
at this Tax Credit training was wonderful and we received request to do
it again. Attached with this letter is detailed information and
registration material.
The annual
conference will be held in October. The location hasn’t been selected at
this time. This year, we are very lucky to have secured A.J. Johnson. In
addition to other presenters to be announced, A.J. will be instructing
two or three workshops.
Attached
with this letter, please find your 2009 membership renewal notice. Due
to the state of the economy, once again the board has decided not to
increase the dues. GSMA will continue to offer the best educational
opportunities available and maintain affordable membership dues.
I would
also like to thank the Board Members for their continued support
and commitment to GSMA. It is indeed a pleasure to be able to work with
such an outstanding group of dedicated people. I look forward to all
that 2009 has to offer.
Sincerely,
Sharlene M.
